The house was fully renovated in 2008, keeping faith with the traditional character of the property. Because it is a part of the 16th century castle, recognized as an official Monument by the Greek government, the renovation was carried out under the supervision of the Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities.

The two bedrooms are on the 1st floor, each with an individual entrance and are connected to the main bathroom and kitchen through interior stairs.

The bedroom on the west has 2 single beds and one sofa-bed, TV, DVD player, ceiling fan and a balcony with stairs leading to Sotira Square, with its Cycladic style churches. The bedroom on the east has one double bed, an armchair that can become a bed, ceiling fan, traditional fireplace, WC and a balcony with stairs to the impressive ruins of the interior of the castle.

On the ground floor is the main bathroom, equipped with a wall-mounted hair dryer, and the kitchen-dining room, with a table and six chairs, ceramic cooker, oven, large fridge, washing machine, coffee machine (for filter, espresso and cappuccino), a full set of cookware, crockery and cutlery, as well as a period marble sink and traditional fireplace.

Included as standard features there are also:

four mountain bikes for adults (26"), two for children (one 24", one 20") together with helmets
a rugged 3-wheel pushchair
WiFi internet

No air-conditioning is available due to restrictions imposed by the Ephorate of Byzantine Antiquities. However, the thick stone walls (0.5 – 1 meter) and the double insulation on the roof, make the house very pleasant even on the hottest of summer days. Nevertheless, if there is a person who needs extra care (such as a baby), contact us in order to provide you with a mobile air conditioning unit.

Low Season - from 25/9 to 28/5 - 595 euros per week
Middle Season - from 29/5 to 16/7 & 28/8 to 26/9 - 700 euros per week
High Season - from 17/7 to 27/8 - 1120 euros per week

Upon check-in a deposit of 300 euros in cash, Eurocheque or Travellers Cheques will be required, which will be returned when you check-out, provided there is no damage to fixtures or fittings.

The ‘House in the castle’ is for rent from Saturday to Saturday. You will find it clean on your arrival and we would ask you to leave it in the same condition. During your stay there is the possibility of a cleaning lady to visit at extra cost. Small pets are accepted at no extra cost.
